About avat.app

avat.app was created to simplify VAT and IBAN validation workflows for businesses, accountants, and finance teams operating across Europe. It is a free, professional-grade platform that provides real-time validation without requiring registration or setup.

What It Does

avat.app validates EU VAT numbers in real time through three authoritative sources:

  • EU VIES — the European Commission's VAT Information Exchange System, covering all 27 EU member states
  • Czech Business Registry (ARES) — provides fast company name and address lookup for Czech VAT entities
  • Czech Tax Authority (MFCR) — used for unreliable VAT payer status checks and registered bank account verification (Czech entities only)

In addition to VAT number validation, the platform provides bulk validation workflows, Czech bank account and IBAN verification, unreliable payer status checks, and export to Excel and PDF.

Who It's For

Built for finance professionals who deal with VAT compliance regularly:

  • Accountants who need to validate supplier VAT numbers before processing invoices
  • Finance departments running period-end checks on customer and supplier databases
  • Tax advisors performing due diligence on Czech VAT registration status
  • E-commerce businesses selling B2B across the EU who need to apply reverse charge correctly
  • Payables teams who must verify Czech bank accounts before paying unreliable payers

Approach

Compliance tools should be fast, transparent, and simple — not enterprise software that requires training.

All results come directly from official registries in real time. No cached data, no stored queries. Paste VAT numbers, get results, export.

Independence notice: avat.app is not affiliated with the European Commission, VIES, or any government institution. Validation results are provided for informational purposes only. For legally critical decisions, always verify with the relevant official authority.
